The danger of a sovereign ruler

The danger of a move to consolidate power into an individual (regardless of their title) is what Mosiah said there. The danger would be no less whether we do it for a good man like Abraham Lincoln than for a corrupt one like Donald Trump. If we do it for a Lincoln it will likely be inherited, either directly or eventually, by a Trump who abuses it. If we do it for a Trump it is unlikely to be inherited by a Lincoln (directly or eventually) and even if it is, it is unlikely to be rectified by him.
