An insight on Eve

In the temple this morning the thought struck me that Eve didn’t offer Adam the fruit because Satan wanted her to, it was because she already realized then the fact which later convinced Adam to partake. She offered Adam the fruit because she knew that she would have to leave Eden and that Adam would therefore be unable to keep all of God’s commandments. Perhaps she also knew by then that the Fall was an essential (if difficult) element of the Plan of Salvation.
