I listened to Kamala Harris speak at the ellipse tonight—the site where Trump had rallied his people to storm the capitol on January 6th—in what was labeled as her closing argument for the election. I felt fortunate to get to listen to it as it was being given rather than sometime later. In fact, while Trump has 53,000 people at his rally there, Harris had 75,000 people there in person with another close to 100,000 like me listening online in real time.
I felt that I have never heard a better, more presidential speech from a candidate in my lifetime. Maybe Reagan managed something this presidential but I would have been too young to pay attention.
Harris was clear about why Trump is unfit and clear about her priorities and her intention to lift all Americans as president.
I sincerely pray that the nation recognizes what a stark difference we face in this election.
