One difference between the destruction that will precede the second coming of Christ and any previous destruction is that the Lord has promised that His Priesthood will not be removed from the earth again. There will be some who are righteous and we may cling to that as Mormon must have clung to the promise that the Lord would bless those that turned to Him.
