Under the weather

I’m not certain right now but I’ve been feeling a pain in my gut today and I can’t figure out if it’s temporary or something I need to pay attention to.

Hope in Christ, at it’s heart, is the recognition that whatever we want/hope for is not simply a matter of our own effort and capacity because we have the assurance that an omniscient and omnipotent Savior is also working for the righteous desires of our hearts.

It is the “after all we can do” in “by grace ye are saved after all you can do.” The grace is not chronologically subsequent. Instead grace is the necessary component that is outside our capacity which combines with whatever we are capable of contributing to result in our being saved.
