- Why do I often think as if I were or will be a bishop?
- It makes sense that I think about how the Aaronic priesthood quorums are operating as I see my boys fail to latch on there and see the quorums hardly reaching out at all. The leaders have worked to make personal connections but they don’t seem to be teaching the boys to do that.
- It makes sense that this would be important to me since the quorums were impactful to me in my youth.
- It is natural to think about this from the perspective of a bishop since those quorums are asking the most core responsibilities that a bishop has.
- The thing I question is that I often take a bishop’s perspective including other auxiliaries and welfare but I have lost confidence that I will ever have any responsibility in that makes use of that thinking. “Failed Dad” appears to be the pinnacle of my prospects.
