Know how (and when) to let go

Nephi talks about the fullness of his intent and it makes me think about the fullness of my intent. How would I articulate my core purpose?

With Laman and Lemuel chafing against being led by Lehi or Nephi, Nephi responds by saying “do what you want, but the result of not following us won’t be pleasant.” That’s a lesson every parent should learn at some point. It is freeing for both parties (although with regard to parenting you will also have times when the proper response is “you’re still going to need to follow me in this because this is my prerogative”).
