Sometimes focusing on Jesus doesn’t mean looking directly toward Him but instead looking toward where He points us.

I thought it was interesting when Brother Hartman suggested that sometimes we are “face blind” even to ourselves and invited us to seek to see ourselves the way Heavenly Father sees us.

Elders quorum

Elder Uchtdorf reminds us that we have to water the root to get the branches to grow, we don’t water the branches to get the tree to grow but it occurs to me that the leaves also gather energy for the roots and the branches or appendages can serve to strengthen our connection to the root.

I feel something happening over the last few weeks and months in this quorum—our discussions in Elder’s Quorum have been consistently powerful which shows that we are coming together and that individually we are striving to come unto Him.
