A king will lead to destruction

I wouldn’t take this to mean that all who support a monarchial form of government in this promised land will physically die but rather that any movement which supports placing a man above the law to rule (monarchial form—regardless of what name we give it) will either collapse within a short period of time or lead to the disintegration of the nation where they sought to establish their king.

That means that if America repeatedly supports the MAGA movement in creating an executive branch that is not answerable to constitutional limits we will cease to have a functional America. If that happens I would expect that some of the states would also try to create an imperial executive and they would also fail to maintain their cohesion as political entities.
