All praise to the Lord

I’m reading about the day when “they shall not hurt not destroy in all My holy mountain” and Israel shall say “God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid” and that lines up with the fact that I am trying to think about ways to celebrate the resurrection of Christ and also ways to build a positive and enduring family culture through celebrations.

Right now I am thinking about having 3 annual seasons of celebration. We already have Christmas season from Thanksgiving to New Years (about 5 weeks or the month of December), I think we should have Easter as a season from Ash Wednesday until Easter (roughly 6 weeks and mostly in March) plus I see a window in summer to celebrate from Independence Day until our family retreat (this is also 5-6 weeks and is primarily in July). This would break our year roughly into thirds with three month-long celebration seasons. I want to ensure that each of the seasons centers around things of eternal significance—the birth of Christ, the Atonement and Resurrection of Christ, and national and family identity.
