3 Nephi 13 – 14
The message of the Savior to the people is to take care and do their works of righteousness for the sage of righteousness and not for the sake of praise. To the chosen disciples His message is to leave the world behind and focus on those things which are spiritual to which they have been called to attend. He then turns to the people and counsels them to not jump to conclusions based on the outward declarations of others, but to look to the fruits that come from people to know if they are worthy of emulation.
