I never realized that Christ declared the fulfilling of the Law of Moses and the end of burnt offerings during the days of darkness. I knew that He did during his visit later, but I had not realized that He had declared it during the lamentation of the people. I had always focused on “whosoever will come, him will I receive” and “how oft will I gather you as a hen gathereth her chicks.”
