I know why Mormon wrote what he did in the previous chapter. He wrote it because he knew that he was living in th time that Samuel had prophesied, not 400 years later, when the land and the people would be cursed because of their wickedness. All the things that he said that the Lord could say, had been declared by the Lord through Samuel and were being fulfilled in Mormon’s eyes.
