Alma 30
The arguments of Korihor are like the arguments of all those who are led about by the devil – and who seek to lead others after them – their arguments need not have any connection to reality, they rely on an emotional reaction on the part of the listener. They talk about things like injustice and gluttony, but the charges they level need not have any basis in fact. Korihor accused the leaders of the church on keeping the people in bondage to an idea that they might glut themselves upon the people. Naturally people would not like that idea, even though the leaders of the church were not glutting themselves upon the people. The problem is that the emotional reaction often precludes anyone actually challenging the underlying charge. Alma did that and Korihor was caught.
