Mosiah 20: 13-26
Limhi had many opportunities to make a poor choice here. He could have killed the Lamanite king in anger. He could have ignored his captain and gone ahead with searching the people. He could have insisted on taking weapons to defend himself against the Lamanite army. Because he did none of these things he was able to learn the cause of this Lamanite aggression and plead his cause to the Lamanite king in time for the king to pacify the approaching army of Lamanites.
