Mosiah 18: 23-35
Alma commanded the people to meet together and to keep the sabbath day holy. He commanded them to work hard and to share freely of their substance. He also taught that preaching was not a profession. It was an offering to the Lord and did not replace laboring for your own support. All that Alma did was unnoticed by the king, but as the people of the church of God lived according to the commandments, Noah could not help but notice that they were different from the rest of his people. Noah feared that which was different. He tried to stop the movement, but Alma and the children of God fled.
