Mosiah 19: 1-9
I wonder how much the military pursuit of Alma and his people helped to foment the division among the people? Was that, for some, the final blow to their trust in the king. Surely some of those who began to “breath out threatenings against the king” had friends and neighbors among the people of Alma and knew them to be good and honest people who posed no danger to the kingdom. Gideon, for example, proved in the years that followed that he was a good man despite his vow to kill king Noah.
