Mosiah 18: 17-22
Alma organized the church of God out of those who received baptism with one priest to every fifty members. He commanded that they preach nothing besides what he taught and what was in the scriptures. In other words, nothing but faith in Christ and repentance. Thus they became the children of God and the church of God because they were unified in love and by covenant with the Lord.
