Mosiah 11: 7-13
It amazes me how clearly I can see the influence of a king on his people here. These are largely the same people who were basically righteous under Zeniff but under Noah they are not. The other amazing thing is that I can see clearly why a king has so much influence that most people will be good or bad in some proportional and complimentary way to their king. Because he is the leader and they have little or no recourse to challenge him, his views will be heard repeatedly while opposing views will be silenced overtly or incidentally. The result is that people lean towards the views they hear repeated until they begin to believe those views. Certainly there are exceptions, but in a population it is quite predictable.
