Mosiah 12: 9-16
The people took Abinadi to king Noah and proclaimed that Noah and his people were guiltless of the charges spoken by Abinadi. I wonder if there were people in the crowd who heard Abinadi and believed him? If there were, they were surely among those who believed Alma when he later preached in secret among the people. Just as you can count on having some wicked people – even with a righteous king – I would imagine that there were some people under king Noah who were trying to be righteous.
