No enemy shall ever have power to stop the work of the Lord.
I wonder if there has ever been a year in which the membership of the church was lower than the year before. (My best bet would be in a year early in the history of the church when there was a large apostasy – perhaps 1844. Parhaps it will happen at some time in the future.)

We must continue to put forth our best effort in every generation.
The challenges today are not harder than those of the pioneers, they are just different.
This is God’s work, and God’s work will not be frustrated. But there is still much to be done before the Great Jehovah can announce that the work is done. - This is not a time for the spiritually faint of heart. We cannot afford to be superficially righteous.
- Our testimonies must run deep, with spiritual roots firmly embedded in the rock of revelation.
- Instruction:
- We need to believe as they believed. We need to work as they worked. We need to serve as they served. And we need to overcome as they overcame.
- He isn’t asking us to die a martyr’s death; He’s asking us to live a disciple’s life.
