The Assurance of the Spirit

When you pray for assurance in the face of a priesthood call which seems overwhelming you will receive at least three answers of assurance.

1. Have I not always looked after you?
• You will remember times when you faced great challenges and received help.
2. Forget yourself and start praying about those you are called to serve.
• Be prepared to lose track of the time as you begin to pray for those you serve.
3. Go to work.
• Success is defined as getting testimonies to go down into the hearts of those we serve.

Invite the Spirit into our lives so that the people we serve will want to invite the Spirit into their lives that they have seen operating in our lives.

• We must take care where our eyes go – we cannot allow the to linger on that which is unseemly.
• We must take care what we say – vulgarity is becoming more widespread.
