1 Samuel 14
I’m not quite sure what to think here. Was Saul aware that if the people ate of the spoil they were likely to do it in haste and break the commandments by eating it with the blood? Is it right that Jonathan should be charged with the sin of the people because he ate some honey without knowing about the command of Saul? It says a lot about the character of Jonathan that he was willing to bear the blame and be killed.
