Leviticus 20
I do not understand how anyone could accept the practice of sacrificing their own children. Althought the ideal is repulsive to me I can at least comprehend the idea of sacrificing the children of enemies but I don’t see how any parent could tolerate even the possibility of their child being picked as a sacrifice no matter how well the child would be treated or how revered they child ortheir family would be. Even if I did not know that such a requirement is antithetical to the nature of godhood I would loath a god who would ask such a thing of his followers.
