Leviticus 12
I didn’t realize that women were unclean for twice as long after having a daughter as they were after having a son. For a son they were unclean for a week and then they had to spend another 33 days of purification after the son was circumcised. For a daughter they were unclean for two weeks and had another 66 days of purification after that. After the period of purification for either she was to bring a sin offering.
