Helaman 12 – 13
The people do not desire that God should rule over them – that is why they go seeking for anyhong to believe in except God and they actively tear down those who choose to place their faith in Him. I was reminded of my first entry suggesting where we are on the Book of Mormon timeline (24 December 2007) and found that those thoughts more thantwo years ago still look very accurate except that I would also specify Afghanistan along with Iraq in the statement about returning unsatisfied.
It is interesting to me that the words of Samuel the Lamanite to the people of Zerahemla are almost identical to the words of Alma and Amulek to the people od Ammonihah when they prophesied that the city was spared for the sake of the righteous and that if they cast the righteous out they would be destroyed.
