Alma 31 – 32
I wonder what kind of idols Zoram was leading his people to bow to – it might have been things more like our modern idols than like the idols of Old Testament Egypt. The prayer of the Zoramites was like a prepared testimony – they claimed only belief (as opposed to actual knowledge) but this prayer was a profession of what their religion dictated that they must believe. It amazes me how openly they professed that their progenitors were foolish children.

As I read Alma’s description of the nature of faith I realize that I know that the gospel is true and my faith is that I will one day partake of the fullness of the fruit of the gospel.
