1 Nephi 3 – 4
I wonder how Lehi dreamed a dream while Nephi was off speaking with the Lord. Was Nephi up at night, or was Lehi napping? I find it interesting and instructive that Lehi did not attempt to take any of his gold or other riches when he fled Jerusalem – he knew that those things had no value outside of an established society. Laban had very little time to enjoy his newly acquired riches. I wonder if he was drunk form celebrating his good fortune. Nephi must have seen Zoram when they tried to purchase the plates – unless he was familiar with the household of Laban before his father even fled Jerusalem. Laban als recognized them so I think it likely that he had seen them coming to seek the plates.
