Genesis 20
I wonder if this story of Sarah being taken by Abimelech took place when she was 90 years old – that makes no sense. Either she hid her age extremely well (can’t count that out) or more likely this story took place earlier in their history than the birth of Ishmael (I would guess that both of those are true). This story might be a mistake in the record – there is an almost identical story (Genesis 26) about Isaac and Rebekah in the same place, with a king of the same name. The difference is that the king learns of the deception by seeing the two of them frolicking rather than in a dream. Could it have happened twice, yes but I doubt it.
