Ether 12
In a time of as much wickedness as the days of Coriantumr how did someone have as much faith as Ether? I think the answer lies in what he taught the people. He said that those who believe in God might hope for a better world which hope cometh of faith and maketh an anchor to the souls of men. Because he chose to believe in God, despite having been born in captivity (likely as the rightful heir to the throne), and thus he hoped for a better world, not just in the afterlife, but he hoped that the mortal society he lived in would be better and worked to make it so. This hope made an anchor to his soul which was why he was not swayed by the wickedness of his day.

The message about faith and hope in Christ appears three times from Moroni, once in Mormon when he thought it was the last he would write, once in Ether when he thought it was the last he would write, and once in Moroni when it was the last thing he wrote. I think we can safely say it was an important message for our day.
