Snow – a wet and heavy two inches before church followed by a fluffier 5 inches while we were at church. The result – I got stuck in the van twice trying to drive the 1/4 mile back from church. Laura and the kids walked the last little bit (two houses) and I finally go the van stuck halfway in the driveway. I was able to pull it free eventually with the help of Scott Thompson, who happened to be walking by and saw me struggling, and the Explorer. That was the beginning of two hours clearing the driveway and sidewalks. Normally it would take me 20 or 30 minutes to clear 7 inches of snow.
I’m amazed that Mom drove up here this morning (in the heavy slushy stuff) to deliver a rice pudding for breakfast. She admitted later that the weather was much worse than she anticipated.
