I woke up early this morning (before 5am) and while I was still in bed I remembered what was probably the last question that President Taylor asked me in my interview – before Laura and his counselors came in and he extended the call. He asked if I would be comfortable sharing my testimony in front of small groups such as a family in their home. (That made me wonder if they were calling me to be a ward mission leader.) As I thought about that this morning I felt that I should make it a goal to share my testimony in the homes of each of the elders in the quorum.

Today was much more peaceful than yesterday, not euphoric as Sunday might have been described, but very comfortable and ready to move forward. I talked to Bishop Tueller to get any insights he has as I choose counselors and during the course of our conversation he mentioned that he had a very sweet and unforgettable experience as he was asked to supply a list of names for the Stake Presidency to consider for the new Elder’s Quorum Presidency as my name came to the top of the list. He assured me that he knows that the Lord has called me and that this is my time to serve in this capacity here. I would really like ot hear the whole story sometime.
