Apparently I was wrong about the deer leaving – it’s still around as of this evening and it seems a bit more comfortable with us – it was not startled when I went out into the yard a couple of times (even with the kids) so long as I did not attempt to approach it. It’s interesting/fun to watch as it walks around, sometimes just for exercise as far as I can tell. The adult deer still keep their vigil (I just was not around enough yesterday to see it) and although I have never seen them come into our yard as they watch over this fawn Don says that he has seen them in our yard.
