Partially as a result of the brutal day yesterday we were a little off our game this morning. We finally got Breakfast on the table after 10:00 so we had to rush to get ready for church. Amazingly we were only a couple of minutes late. In fact, because of the craziness of yesterday I had entirely forgotten about getting a tithing check made out. I remembered while sitting in Sacrament meeting – thankfully Laura’s purse was in the car so I was able to get the tithing paid without any major hassle. I got a new home teaching companion – John Mills, my backyard neighbor and former home teacher. I also taught the lesson in Elder’s Quorum. Despite my study I had no handle on what message to present in quorum meeting. After struggling for half the meeting I think we finally came to some insight about not feeding of the weaknesses of others in order to feel righteous.
The afternoon was spent recouping some energy for Laura and I. Hopefully we have put the exertion of yesterday behind us now.
