I think that objectively speaking today was a good day. Subjectively – I’m exhausted.
I got up and prepared a lesson for Sunday School. Then I helped all the kids get all their chores done in one hour. During that hour we also bought texas toast and made a nice breakfast and I saw a phone message telling me that the Statens would be moving out at 10:00 (the end of that hour). I skipped breakfast to get to what was supposed to be a short move. Laura took the Statens kids so that they would not be in the way. Four hours later we finally dragged our kids away as the majority of the move had been completed – we got home with enough time to get ready for our date but not much time to spare. oh, and on the way over to the Statens Laura backed the van into the garage door which had apparently closed part way (high enough that it could not be seen through the back window. Thankfully there was no significant damage to either the garage door or the minivan.
For our date, Laura and I ate at El Matador and then went to the temple. After we got home I mowed the lawn (first time in two weeks – it really needed it) and then we moved the kids rooms around – all the girls in one room with a plan to put the baby in the other room with Isaac.
