I nearly got a WordPress plugin working that I have been working on for a couple of weeks. It regulates posts so that they only publish during certain hours of the day, on certain days of the week, and at certain intervals – it also give the option of rotating between authors as much as possible on multi-author blogs.
I also got a call from the stake executive Secretary this morning asking me to meet with a member of the Stake Presidency tomorrow night. For the first time in my life I really have no idea what might lie in store.
Laura called in the afternoon to tell me that she had run into Laney Cheney at the store (Laney lives in Cedar City) and that Laney was going to come visit – the invitation was asking whether I wanted to come home early to see her. I opted not to come home early, but Laney was still here when I arrived and it was nice to talk with her for a minute. The best part was when I asked her how she was doing and she announced that she is quitting work and school to stay home full time with her two kids. Apparently she realized that she did not need school and that her job was bringing in just enough money to pay her tuition and her babysitter. I hope that she can support her kids on the remaining social security income from Carter – I’m sure it would be better for the kids.
