I met with the people at University of Utah Health Care again yesterday. Going into the meeting I was still undecided and I told them so when they asked how I felt about the position. In the last part of the meeting I met the team and after that I felt very comfortable that this would be a good position for me. When I met with Seth in the afternoon about my annual goal self-evaluation I let him know that UUHC was showing an interest in me but that they had not made an offer he was glad for the advanced notice.
I knew they wanted to move on the position soon but I was still surprised when They sent an email before 9 AM asking if they could call me. I didn’t see the email until just before my 10 AM team meeting so I told them I would call them after the meeting.
When we finally talked they asked if my feeling had changed after meeting the team. When I told them it had they told me the team felt good about me and they made me a verbal offer which was exactly the price I had hoped for. They also promised that I could take a full two weeks of in December even though I would not have enough PTO by then. I am thrilled.
I told Seth and he has started the voluntary termination process. He has taken the news very well. I have two weeks to get the decks cleared at Intermountain and then it’s off on a new adventure.
