The king could not sleep. I wonder if the spirit was keeping him awake so that he would read and think about Mordecai just prior to Haman coming to talk about hanging him. I didn’t realize that Haman’s plots unraveled that quickly. I had also not realized that many people converted as a result of this turn of fortune.
