Psalms 89 – 90
I began to think for a minute that possibly David’s calling and election had been made sure which would be a reason for him to have confidence that the Lord would not leave him to suffer forever. It then I realized that he would have become a son of perdition had he murdered Uriah after his calling and election had been fixed. The Savior spoke too highly of David during his mortal ministry to supposed that he could have been a son of perdition thus his calling and election must not have been sure.
Now a prayer from Moses—the psalms are more varied than I had supposed.
