I’ve never made much mention of the fact that their strongest fortification was built by the Lamanites and used by the Nephites to guard their Lamanite prisoners. That is one reason that the tactics that Moroni and Helaman used to free Nephite prisoners would not have worked for Ammoron even if he had attempted to free the Lamanite prisoners.
