3 Nephi 24
There can be no doubt that these words of Malachi did not have an end with the fulfillment of the Atonement because Christ Himself gave these words to the Nephites after His resurrection.

It sounds like Jesus overthrowing the money changers in the temple may have been a partial fulfillment of this prophecy about him being a refiner and purifier who would make the offering of Judah and Jerusalem pleasant.

The statement about those that do wickedly being spared and then having the Lord making up His jewels of those who feared the Lord is not simply that those who were despised by the world will be spared but rather that when the Lord makes up His jewels we will see who was righteous whether we judged them to be wicked and of the world or humble followers of Christ. We will find that some who do well in the world are still true followers and some who are humbled in the world are still not humbled in their hearts.
