Reading and Writing

Five days ago I lost my job—again (second time in three moths). I had already been pursuing a business idea in the evenings for a couple of weeks and Laura and I felt that the correct direction for our family would be to build that business. It should be able to support us within a reasonable timeframe.

We promptly took a couple of days to relax at Jackson Hole, Wyoming after I hit the ground running and got the business site nearly functional the afternoon that I was let go.

On our way out of town we stopped at the library and I checked out four books from the nearly 100 on my list of books to read. I’ve already read two of them and while reading The Cluetrain Manifesto this evening I realized that I needed to get back to blogging for myself and I also need to add a forum for users on our business site where they can interact with each other and build up a community where they can share ideas on how to keep young kids safe online that keeps the users coming back for more.
