Isaiah 30
Destruction comes upon the children of Israel because they seek the counsel of men and the strength of Egypt but refuse to seek or heed the counsel of the Lord. They put their trust in the arm of flesh and receive the consequences of doing so.
I wonder if that was what happened the last time I sought employment. I rushed into the process and found a job but did not address any underlying issues at home and the job did not last. This time I have been better at doing the non-jobhunting. I think we have addressed the major concerns at home and hopefully the Lord will provide good, steady employment.
