Daniel 2
I never realized how early in his stay in Babylon Daniel interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. That suggests that his offer to interpret the dream was probably somewhat daring.
Its ingesting top realize that Nebuchadnezzar didn’t implicitly trust his astrologers. It seems that he felt they bad some insights to offer but he apparently knew that they pretended to more knowledge than they really had that is why he insisted that they tell him the dream before he would trust their interpretation – he expected them to only be guessing at the interpretation if he told them the dream (besides the fact that he had forgotten it.
Perhaps it was not so dating of Daniel to offer, he was already counted among the wise men of Babylon and thus was at risk under the decree of Nebuchadnezzar.
I also didn’t realize that Daniel counseled with his friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He got the credit for this but he enlisted their faith and prayers.
Daniel not only told the king his dream and its interpretation, buy he also told the king what he was thinking that brought the revelatory dream in the first place.
