Daniel 4
This appears to be an epistle published by Nebuchadnezzar to the world. If that is the case why would Nebuchadnezzar want people to know what Daniel had told him concerning this dream? The only reason I can think of is because the interpretation indicates that the madness of Nebuchadnezzar wouldn’t be permanent. He might want people to know that before it started. The other alternative is that this was published after the fact as a show of humility or penance to demonstrate the belief in the power of God that he had gained. Published after the fact seems top be the case for the reasons that I thought.
