Daniel 10
Daniel’s description of this vision sounds similar to Alma’s description of his encounter with the angel or Saul’s encounter on the road to Damascus. The difference is that Daniel was already living righteously so this was revelatory but not a call for his own repentance. Another difference is that Daniel fasted for this for three weeks (not abstinence from all food but limiting the types of food he would eat). I don’t know what Daniel was seeking through his fast other than to draw closer to God but this was the result of his fast.
