Daniel 12
We have some very specific numbers here. I had heard the ” time, times, and an half” before which suggests three and a half time periods, perhaps years, but Daniel was given two specific numbers of days and a reference point. He was told that it would be 1290 days from the time that the sacrifice had been taken away. That means we first need to have a recognizable daily sacrifice but we can count 1290 days which is 3 years plus 195 days (that is two weeks more than a precise 3 1/2 years). It may well be that the daily sacrifice is what the Lord referred to when He said that the keys of the Aaronic Priesthood would never again be taken from the earth until the sons of Lehi offer again an offering in righteousness. This would suggest that the time will come when they shall reinstate the Mosaic sacrificial practices at the temple in Jerusalem in righteousness. Such sacrifices are needed as a sign in fulfillment of covenant prophecy even if those practices are connected with an already fulfilled law

Daniel is also told that those who endure to 1335 days (presumably from the same reference point)  would be blessed. I wonder if that indicates the most terrible 45 days in the earth’s existence. There is a small possibility that the 1335 days starts at the end of the 1290 days which would mean over 7 years in total from the ending of the daily sacrifice. In other words, when that daily sacrifice had been identified, practiced, and later taken away we must be prepared within 1290 days and we must be purposed for at least 45 days but conceivably for 1335 days.
