1 Nephi 6 – 7
We know that the lost pages of the Book of Mormon were called the Book of Lehi. I wonder if Nephi actually included the writings of his father as the beginning of the large plates because he says that he is not including the genealogy of his father on the small plates because his father’s record already includes that genealogy.
After Lehi had been prophesying about his seed it must have been easy for him to be in tune with whisperings from the spirit that his sons would need wives.
I suspect that it was the one soon if Ishmael, who had previously been part of the rebellion, who convinced Laman and Lemuel to calm down. They could probably see from his change of sides that their influence was weakening and they are not brave enough to rebel without others.
