2 Nephi 9 – 10
Jacob spoke in order that the people might rejoice in the words which had been spoken concerning the House of Israel; I’m curious about whether they were inclined to rejoice in the final condition of the covenant purple or whether they were inclined to morn that the covenant people required so much in the way of reprimand and correction.

Jacob says that the righteous shall have a left knowledge of their righteousness. That id’s in line with my feeling that the judgement will be a time of explanation so that each of us may come to fully understand why they received the glory that they received. Some will be surprised with more glory than they initially anticipated and others with less but by the time the explanations are finished every knee shall now and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ and that His judgements are utterly just.

The key to the doctrine of grace versus works is this: we must pressure the work of reconciling ourselves to God or in other words we must seek Him in our actions; after we have made that effort we must understand that our effort alone is insufficient and that His grace is there to cover our deficiencies so that we may be saved.
