Mosiah 3 – 6
C.S. Lewis made the statement that the gospel of Christy would hold no appeal for a person unless that person felt that they needed to repent. It think it is safe to say that not feeling the need to repent is one of the hallmarks of the natural man.

The people under king Benjamin made a covenant and while it says nothing of their being baptized they must have been because the men they sent to find the people of Limhi knew about baptism even though they had known nothing of the people of Alma who were practicing baptism.

To have this new name blotted out of their hearts would be to forget the name so that they cannot recall or recognize it when needed. If we do not keep our covenants we will forget the name by which we are to be called.
